your plant looks healthy enough, does it get light besides indoor lighting ?

I have a potted zill mango that fruited this summer. You should trip the top of your mallika so it branches out.

This is pic of my in-ground mallika from this summer, it is barely 3 ft tall.

It's a big mango relative to the size of the tree, but comparing it to a jackfruit is pushing it :-)

They are about 1.0 to 1.5 lb

Greenman62, it's 100% artificial light this time of the year. It gets too cold near the windows in my Chicago condo and even then it would only get a few hours of light.

Mangobay, I'm definitely going to tip the top. That's a very happy looking container plant! How old is it and what fertilizer do you use?

Is there a better time to tip prune? I just pruned/tipped my pickering and Carrie. Hopefully all goes well.

Can you grow mango inside your house? I have some mango varieties that I keep near the window inside my house. I haven't seen them thriving yet. I guess they are lacking light. What type of lights should I use for tropical fruit trees kept indoor? Any insight on this?

I have a few metal halides. But have seen better results for others who own led. I would go for led, the only thing holding me back is the price.

LED are better in long run, but initially they are expensive. I have 2 of these guys and so far most of my plants are doing good ( i think i over watered my Malika and Lychee).
