Looks like pom, looks like it have thorns too right? if thorns, then pom for sure.

I agree. Gogi leaves are alternate while pomegranates are opposite and often have a reddish tinge to them. And Brad, "infestation of aphids" is probably not the best advertisement for a trade :)

I've never gotten gogi to grow more than a few inches although I've heard they are easy to grow. I have a few volunteers growing in one of my other plants that at first I had hoped were gogi but now I'm thinking they may be poms. How big do they need to be before they develop the thorns?
