Pests On Jujubes?

Posted by brute Florida 9B (My Page) on

What kind of insects are usually found on Florida Jujube fruit? I found some long-legged red bugs that appeared to be sucking the fruit. Even though they were rather alert and quick, I caught one and kept it for awhile in a clear plastic bag while I tried to figure out what it was. I would have photographed it, but posting photos on GardenWeb is such an technical ordeal, I decided to skip it.
The closest I could find on the internet was a stilt bug.
Have you had any experience with Jujube pests?
