I know a coupe people with such multi-grafted mango trees. The article you reference pre-dates my involvement with tropical fruits. I didn't really begin to get involved seriously until aound 1991. That being said, the name does sound somewhat familiar to me. Looking him up on the internet, he appears to still live in Cooper City. I might know him by face from RFVC meetings. I wonder how the tree has done over all these long years.

Spoke with him over the phone today......very nice guy. Actually had 10 varieties grafted on the tree at one point, did remove a couple like Keitt because they grew too slowly. He spoke very highly of Bailey's Marvel which he said was one of the most vigorous growers on the tree.

Unfortunately his wife developed a mango allergy and he had to cut the tree down a couple years ago. Also, he is no longer a Broward RFVC member as of a few years ago.
