They are at my local Whole Foods and also at Nijiya Market down in San Diego, CA. You can also order Dekopon(Sumo) seeds online. I ordered seeds last year and I have a small seedling growing right now. Its only about 3-4 inches tall and they are supposed to come true to seed. I purchased several cases of Sumo last year and only got one seed which my wife chewed up, I was so upset! Simon
LOL - Simon.....so your wife is a seed chewer? I confess to getting lazy with those large seeded Black Grapes occasionally....obviously, she didn't know she was crunching on gold.....
Anyway, my big Q is:
How do we know the seeds you ordered are really Sumo???? Was it a legit and honorable seed company? And how much were they?
Hey Mangodog, there is absolutely no way for me to find out at this point but I felt it was worth the several dollars. I just assume that they are not true Dekopon seeds and will be presently surprised if in 10 years they produce Dekopon like fruit.
If I purchase a few more cases of Dekopons, I'm sure I'll be able to find some more seeds. Someone else on this forum bought, I think two Dekopon and was able to get two seeds. Simon
