Back of leaves turning black on Mango tree

The back of the leaves and the flower spikes on mango tree are looking black. I can't scratch anything off and tried different sprays. It has been growing nicely in a pot for about a year but moving and want to plant it in the ground. Can anyone tell me what it is and what I can do for it?

Copper fungicide spray is called for when Anthracnose strikes. This fungus can cause blackening.
