Avocado variations.

About a year ago, I received an avocado Puchased from a Florida nursery. It was identied as Simmonds Avocado. I have grown avocados before, mostly from pit (mostly unlabeled store-bought, Florida type), but this one looks a bit different. The leaves are slightly glossy, more "tropical-looking". It also is a very quick, robust grower. Frankly, I have never had an avocado perform so well for me in a container! It is overwintered in a sunny garage at cool/cold (but frost-free) temps because I have no room for it in the house but it looks like it is even pushing some "Spring" growth. Do leaves on Simmonds look quite differ than on a Hass or even other Florida avocados. Thanks in advance.
