WHo knew? (A Winter treat!)

Well, I learned something new this Winter, and got rewarded handsomely! I found out that Rambutan season in Hawaii is October to December, and sometimes it runs over into January/February. I bought 8lbs of fresh, off the tree, rambutan a week ago, and it arrived today. All for the wonderful price of $ shipping. I definitely caught the tail end of an extended season, but I'm glad for it. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait to re-order more. The place I got them from is; see the pics:

WOW! They look great. Good for you. I wish I would have known myself. This is one of the fruits on my Must try list.

Thanks North Tree Man for letting everyone know that we can buy these. I will for sure order next year!

They look very good and that's an excellent price! The ones I find at the Asian store are about 8 lbs for around $40-50 bucks. Next time, I definitely will get a box! Thanks for sharing the link, NTM
