I'm stoked!...went out today and that tree I do odes too here on GW is flowering. And I'm letting it as it's in ground and healthy and its just one main stem. All my previous Mango's had done their thing in pots,except for one that had flowered...then withered. Yes.I'm hoping that's not happening here. For one thing,this plant is in a much more warmer sunny spot that doesn't stay wet...what I think got to the other one. No signs of any root rot or anthracnose on this plant
Now,its wait and see on holding fruit,taste,and health. Never home free with a Mango in the SF bay area...but it can be done.
