Yesterday morning my father-in-law brought over a huge ripe cherimoya from his apt in Carlsbad. It was probably 3-4 lbs. When I got back from work, there was a pile of sticky-wet seeds wadded up in paper towel... alas. Well at least they knew to save me the seeds.

And Ryan, we know they do fine in the bay area now. The streak of no deep freezes is now at a quarter century. I think the bay area is just too large now and too much urban warming. I mean,inland they saw low 20's this winter from the arctic front. What the bay area used to see decades ago.

The wife of a coworker of mine that lives in Berkeley just bought one one online for their yard. I'll need to keep tabs on that. They got some named variety but I don't know which one.
