| has anyone experimented with crossing a cherimoya (or other tropical annona) with a paw paw? Paw paws have superior cold hardiness.
I am asking because I just lost two of my atemoyas in the past winter's freeze. It got down to 22 - 25 F for 4 days. It's very frustrating to lose a tree that you love. My mom has a paw paw that is blooming, and the blooms look just like those of the annona's I have. |

| I wouldn't count on it. I know that sugar apples will not cross with paw paws. Cherimoya and paw paw blooms have no resemblance whatsoever. |
