I just got some maprang trees from my future mother-in-law and need some info on growing them. I think the big one is 2 feet tall. These are volunteers that sprang up from dropped fruit.

It's going to have to be in a pot since I'll be moving from my apartment at some point and don't want to have to dig it up.

What size pot will I need? How tall/how old do they have to be before growing fruit? I'm afraid it'll get too big before I have a permanent spot for it - she said they grow pretty fast.

And just curious, how much do the trees cost in a nursery? I only found a price for seeds online for around $2.90/2 which seemed like highway robbery. Maybe I should start selling the seeds and saplings...this wedding isn't gonna pay for itself! :)
