olive tree question

Hi everyone my olive tree has fruited for the first time. The tree is about 15 ft with tons of olives starting. Will the olives make it to maturity? I live in Florida and the humidity is usually quite high during the summer so I was just wondering if the olives would make it.

If you have flowers now, you'll have to wait and see if any fruits set. If you have a self-fertile variety, such as Arbequina, you will get some fully formed fruits later in the year. If your tree is not self-fertile, you will not see much cropping. Florida's humidity has no real effect on fruiting ability of olives. What variety do you have? I have 12 varieties in Hillsborough county, Fl.
