 o
Coffee in S. Florida

Has anyone grown coffee here in south Florida? I have two of my six trees (~5' tall) now with berries maturing nicely on them. My four other trees are still too small but I have a question.

How many trees would I need to have a reasonably steady supply of coffee for myself?

used to have 2-3 trees, got about a bag of beans and it didn't last very long since we were all coffee fiends.

If I recall, coffee isn't harvested year round in the US. They pick cherries when ripe, dry the beans green, and store them until ready to roast to order (they won't lose flavor until after roasting).
