they are distinct? i have the "choc-anon" from Pine Island the one (they) dubbed the miracle Christmas bearing mango. so miraculous in fact it has never been witnessed by anyone i know currently growing it.

Carrie is reportedly a seedling of the Sophie Fry mango (which was a Julie seedling)

Julie was initially reported as a seedling of Sophie Fry, but through analysis was later determined more likely a parent of Julie.

i never read anything that refrenced the parentage of Sophie Fry

mangoKush, they did not include Sophie Fry in the pedigree analysis, which may have been why Julie was found to be the most likely parent because Julie (parent of Sophie Fry) was included in the study.

i read where they specifically stated that but its still pretty ambiguos. i always thought DNA had some level of certainty even in this case where its 1 generation apart. in their conclusion they stated the estimated parent was Julie. im not sure why a Scientific technical paper would say that after admitting they did not test Sophie Fry unless they reasonably eliminated it through confirming Julie as the parent.

My taste tests say there's Julie in there somewhere. How's that for scientific data? :)
