Fruiting a jaboticaba

mikesid

I pulled my small leafed jaboticaba out of the ground after my recent move and planted it at my new house. It had occasional stress and dry periods due to poor cultivation and lack of care on my part. However tree is in ground and has been for about a year now. receives good sun and has been putting out new growth. It has not been aloud to dry out any more. When i purchase it I was told it was about 3 or 4 years old and I've had for about 8 years. No fruit yet..Is there any way to assist this plant to fruit. Have I possibly set it back a few years by potting up and replanting it...I want Jaboticaba!!!
