I bought two Julie Mangoes last summer. Potted in 24" pots. Everything was going fine. Watered as directed, brought inside during coldest days, nights. Went to west coast for two months. Came home last week to find 2 18" plants with lots of side twigs and some flower stalks, but most leaves gone. Those leaves remaining had brown tips and tips of twigs were also brown and dead looking. Should I prune off the dead leaves and twigs? How far back? Should I cut off lateral twigs to encourage height of plants? Or .... should I just throw out and start over?
