mullsie - I've had one about 4 years here in Palm Springs and it flowers and fruits about the same time as all the other mangos, so I wouldn't think, even though it has a reputation for early fruiting, that it would be a problem....and the flesh - like sweet orange butter - better tasting than my manilas....

but remember, mine is well protected - planted under some large palm trees....I think I've discovered that in our dicey winter climates, that planted under house overhangs or taller trees has a huge protective benefit to their survival..... My Rosie is like a member of the family,
as any would be that grow with you throughout the years...
