Can I save my mango tree?

Hi! I have two mango trees that I planted last fall. Starting this spring I believe they had some sort of disease. I started treating with copper. One of them perked up nicely. I removed all the blooms to encourage growth. The smaller of the two has continued to suffer. It has now lost all its leaves and the branches appear to be dying.

Any ideas on what the issue might be? It receives adequate water, sun and I did fertilize it this spring. The black sooty beaches seem to have gotten under control from earlier this spring, thanks to the copper spray.

That's most likely a goner. A freeze just kills top growth,a fertilizer burn kills roots..and that pretty much means pull it out.
Mangoes that size in Florida are easy to get and inexpensive. Don't waste a growing year.

Sad. This was a three year old nam duc mai that we paid 200 dollars for. It's had nothing but problems. My cogshell on the other hand looks great.

In that case,maybe wait it out. Best case is it recovers. What might happen is it recovers low,that is below the graft.
If the trunk shrivels,its dead as a doorknob.
