Maguey (Century plant) & aguamiel

I watched "Extreme Cuisine w/Jeff Corwin" last night & it had a segment on Maguey aka Agave americana aka Century plant & the nectar inside it, aguamiel. I've checked online & I've read it takes around 10 years to mature. Then when it starts to flower, the flower is cut and the plant starts to make aguamiel in the center, as much as 3 liters a day.

Can anyone share their experience with the plant & possibly can supply suckers?

We have the blue Agave with a very small and a larger pup that you're welcome to. They get quite large in circumference and grow rather quickly.
