I usually hang out in the Harvest, Cooking and Vegetable growing forums and this is my second time on this forum, but not the last, I'm sure.

About a week and a half ago or so, I decided to try to see if a mango pit I had would start putting out a taproot. I think it was here that I read how to start by splitting the pit of the mango to remove the seed. Then you were to wrap the seed in a damp paper towel, place in a glass cover with a clear wrap and place in a warm spot. Can't remember if it said to put a little bit of water in the glass, but I did. Well, I checked it out day before yesterday and it has a nice root that has broken out of the seed. I never imagined trying to root a mango seed and I certainly never imagined succeeding.
