avacado limds bying back sunscald or root rot (pics)

I have a Wilma avocado that I purchased recently and planted back in march in a raised bed. It was showing very vigorous growth until the last few weeks where it started having some random limbs die back. The tree never really greened up just produced pale green leaves. I recently fertilized this week and noticed some greening up but the dying limbs continued after the fertilization. The opal tree next to it seems to be growing just find with dark green leaves and no die back. Could this be root rot or maybe sun scald?

See the attached pictures. I would say this has happened to roughly 6-8 limbs so far with 2 from the last 24hrs. The darker photos are from this evening.

Thanks for the help
