Kent, Nam Doc Mai and VP as rootstock

I am in the process of starting some seedlings that I intend to use as rootstock to propagate my neighbor's stellar mango tree. She has an unnamed variety which I suspect to be a Kent but with a much spicier note to it.

I obtained some Kent, Valencia Pride and Nam Doc Mai seeds from Excalibur and I was wondering whether these varieties make good rootstock for south florida's sandy soil.

On a side note the Nam Doc Mais from Excalibur were good, very sweet with good texture (fiberless) but a little plain, The valencia pride was a total fiasko. What a bummer it was my first time trying these varieties and I was disappointed by both. Possibly just bad luck.
