You can try..sounds doable to me. But it might drop all its leaves if the humidity isn't sky high. Maybe cover with a clear bag.

All this in a pot. Rooting by sticking it in ground is another story. Again.its those big leaves. You should remove excess,and then trim in half the remaining. Leave enough to photosynthesize,but not so much to dehydrate the plant.
