I have 4 trees, 2 avocado, 1 banana and a pear tree (all under 5feet tall and potted). Every year I bring them in for the winter as our winters here in NY get very cold. They are getting to the point where it is hard to bring them in every year.

I am wondering if I have another other option in keeping them through the winter without bringing them in the house. Some ideas:

1) bring them in the garage (won't get any sunlight)
2) try to find a year-round greenhouse that will take them
3) wrap them up and leave outdoors (I can't imagine they would survive)
4) continue to bring indoors
