My loquat bloomed during Thanksgiving. The fruit has been orange for the past month. How do I know when it is ripe to eat. I had read somewhere that when ripe it gives slightly to finger pressure. Is this accurate? Something like the way a ripe peach or avodado gives way to finger pressure? Any better way to assess ripeness? Thanks.
