Those seeds will also germinate in wet paper towel. From my memory, they were slow to germinate.

I plant mine in the ground and forget about them. Some come up within a month or two, the rest come up the following year!

Everything about sapodilla seems to be slow including seeds sprouting. Sugar apple seeds if fresh sprout in an average amount of time. Try gently squeezing the seeds, if the are firm and feel heavy for their size then they should still be good. If they are mushy or liquid squishes out then they are probably not good. If you have lots of seeds, try cracking one open if only a few seeds then just wait.

well it was supposed to be fresh as in the ebay description like you order and we pick the fruit off of the tree and get the seeds, but when it came through the mail it didn't look like fresh seeds, there was no shine to it. i'll try to check on the seeds again since i dug one up about a week ago and didn't see any sign of germination. i planted all the seeds since the instruction from the package said to plant them immediately.
