Banana Goldfinger is blooming

Editing Note: It was actually my Lady Finger and not Goldfinger. I lost their labels and I forgot whose whose ... ooops!

My Lady Finger is blooming this Summer again. It's been a very productive variety. Thought, the Gold Finger variety also produces fruit rather frequently for me. I'm glad it's blooming now so the bananas will be ready for harvest before the cold weather comes. I did have bananas starting to bloom in the Fall, only to meet with their demise in the Winter.

Can you describe the flavor of Goldfinger? I have Dwarf Namwah, Dwarf Red & Goldfinger. The closest one to flowering is Namwah. I'd like a head's up on the Goldfinger

It's good they started early. They do take a long time to ripen. Good luck with them.

I've made a mistake. It is actually my Lady Finger and not Gold Finger! Their labels got lost somehow .. lol

OK, about the taste of Gold Finger. It actually has a slight acidic taste to it. It's sweet, but not too sweet and I like it that way better. As for the Lady Finger, the berries are smaller, but sweeter.

Thanks, Tropicalbreeze. At this moment, I'm looking forward to the two varieties that have fruit showing up--Gold Finger in the pot and the Lady Finger in the ground. I've dug up a lot of different varieties of bananas to make space for my other tropical fruit trees.
