Tropical Fruits grow in the tropics! Unless you are talking about imported fruit in stores? When is the best time to go snow skiing in Cuba?

I assume you live near the border somewhere?? Obviously the bigger the city the better your chances of finding more tropical fruits. I'm near London, ON and there is a nice asian market that usually has mangosteen, longan, lychee, sweetsop, cherimoya, passionfruit, plus some others I'm not familiar with. Summer probably is your best time for fresh fruit.

I just returned from Canada (Toronto and Vancouver). I found a bunch or tropical fruits being sold at the markets. I bought some mangosteens, longans, and rambutans. They also had mangoes, lychees, and many others. I guess Summer time is the best time to go and buy tropical fruits in Canada. According to the sellers, the fruits were imported from Thailand.

I have been to excellent markets in both Montreal and Vancouver. Lots of great tropical fruits. Definitely summer is the best time.

Okay I stand corrected.. There is a Cuba in Ohio that has ski resorts.. And there are mountains in Cuba also.. We have great Washington Apples at Publix here in South Florida, but dont make a special trip!

I went around September of last and they had a lot of tropical fruit then. I think it really depends on what kind of fruits you're looking for. They have most fruit all summer long but if you want sugar apple, it would be August or September on. I think caimito will have to be around winter or February.

If you look at my blog you can see pictures of the fruits there. I think they just started to have LongKong around that time.

I really think the best time to go is around August or September. We went to Toronto's Chinatown. The Chinatown is on 293-299 Spadina Ave.
