I see references on the interent to Manila being the same as Ataulofo. We see Atauolfo (also marketed as "Champagne" mangoes) in stores everywhere here but they are clearly not like your Manilla. Yours is much more fat. I think I remember us going around and around on this subject previously. Anyway......looks good......enjoy!

Yes Harry, we did go round and round on this, and I think we came up with there is just a certain amount of differential with this mango, since it is a seedling....

And SoCal - you are so observant - yes had to fight that knife over the seed! But no, I'm chicken when it comes to chili pepper on mangos!!!!! It will take someone else to offer it up to me, to get me to go there...

Two more mangos fell off today.....yep, the forecast for tomorrow and the next day and the day after that is cloudy with a chance of mangos!!!!

they don't look overripped to me, it fact they look scrumptious!!that's a good size manila and I love their three tone, yellow, orange-rose and green!MD, a little fiber doesn't hurt anyone and I wouldn't waste any of your mangos on smoothies there are plenty of good tasting Mexican Kents out there right now. Again, congrats and thanks for posting!

P.S. socalmango is right, chili powder is very appetizing with mangos but buy yourself a big Tommy or a big green Keitt and slightly sprinkle a little chili powder with lime.
