This is my first year trying to grow indoors a Mallika mango that I purchased this summer. I arrived with some older leaves having black tips and some powdery mildew. I also noticed some spider mites signs later. All these issues seem to be under control now after a few rounds of neem spray and most leaves now look healthy and shiny green. I also belive the potting medium is fine and well draining. Finally a bud at the end of one branch swelled up and as I was looking forward to some new leaf growth, I instead see what look like flower buds!
Is is common for these to bloom at the end of summer? I do not plan on using any supplemental lighting and am already apprehensive about going into winter. Will the blooming and possible fruiting make things more difficult?
