I was lucky enough to find a really nicely pruned Eustis Limequat at the major home supplies store.
It was actually pruned just the way i would have done it - encouraging horizontal branching and pruning the vertical ones. It was actually done this way in order to market it as a "hanging basket plant", but that suited my needs well :)
I was noticing how many of the citrus trees have the lower horizontal branches pruned off, in order to encourage a tall trunk leading to a higher up canopy. To me, that is the problem with buying an established tree, as I want to keep things small and manageable.
This little tree already has a dozen small fruits on it.
I guess I need to wait until they start turning yellow a bit, then pick.
