Ok, my mom ells me she wants a mango but here is the delimma. The only place she has the ability for one is the back yard. Only problem is the yard is not a yard. The back yard consists of a pool surrounded by pavers with a landscape bed and a full size generator. Is there any variety that will do well in a pot where it will actually fruit ? She knows the work, pruning and care that would need to be done but my query is will it actually "thrive" and fruit ?

Are there any other fruits that would work (please do not tell me Miracle fruit, I know it will but she is not interested in a novelty) ? Would citrus, specifically Buddha's Hand (if one could be located), citron, red lime or lemon ?

Would the pavers and proximity to the pool have a detrimental effect on a mango, citrus or any other possibilies ?
