Don't think it's normal. My hometown has lots of Jujube trees. The typical pattern is small fruits become yellow and drop. Yours is a bit too big to dry up. Can you pick one up and check if there are any insects inside?
Is your Jujube an Indian Jujube or Chinese?

Plus a jujube tree typically is much more fruitful than yours. Fruits can be in cluster along the twig.

You have to use a balanced fertilizer, high N can cause too much foliage but little and less sweet fruits.

my parents have quite a few trees. we eat some of them fresh, when they start turning red, give some away to friends and dry the rest. we use them mainly in wintermelon soup. but there are many recipes for dried red dates, even desserts.

for me, mine do the same, probably a combo of enviro and age of tree. I have 4 varieties here and they all are doing it. There are 2 general types, some better eaten green some better eaten brown. Li as an example of green Lang for brown.

Mine do the exact same thing also, I've never considered it a problem. Maybe a little more water while the trees are in fruit?

yellowthumb: I'm fighting with the squirrels for the fruits. I see them picking the fruits and scurry elsewhere to eat, left the seeds for me to clean up. A BB pistol did them no harm. Hit one right on the belly, just ran away, albeit slowly. I need a WMD for squirrels. 8-)) No insects inside the shriveled fruits either. Man, between the squirrels and birds, my figs and jujubes are getting thinner by the day.
