Growing dragon fruit in winter/year round?

I have heard of people harvesting dragon fruit almost all year long versus the usual June to November harvest. Does anyone have any idea how they do this? Ive heard that some farms in Malayasia have lights in their fields, but I don't know if it contributed to the longer fruit bearing season.

I would imagine anywhere you can avoid cool weather, by whatever means you could. Mine are producing their second crops for the year right now. Once it gets cooler, at least by November, that will be it until next spring.

What does this taste like? I saw it (some pinkish weird looking fruit) today at the Wegnmans grocery store here in PA and it was $9.98 a pound. Is it worth the money???
