Tropical Fruit Plants for Screening

Hi, I was wondering if there are fast growing tropical fruit bearing plans that I can grow for screening my fence at the same time. any ideas? I was thinking of berries.

seen barbados cherry (acerola) used for this purpose in Texas but don't know how fast they grow here, don't own one myself...

My inlaws in Belle Glade have huge barbados cherry hedges...they are very tall and thick. They manicure them like ficus hedges. The barbados cherries are tart but make good jam
