what i've read is to stake it up with a wood post (4x4) wrapped with burlap to grow vertically. on top of the post put two crisscross beams (2x4 or 4x4) for it to grow laterally.

you want a single leader/trunk to grow up the post a few feet tall. once it gets to the top cut off the tip. it should sprout new grow that'll grow horizontally/laterally.

they can handle temps down to around 33-34'F (not including wind chill factor). but its best to bring them indoors if possible. mine are in ground. i'll cover them with frost blankets when temps are forecasted to get below 36'F b/c of wind chill factor.

Ahhh ok thank you bunches. Right now I have two in a 5 gallon bucket (the bottom is busted out) so I can bring it in with no issues. I will plant them in the ground next year :) Thanks for the tips.
