Source for Garcinias in South Florida?

I'd like to try growing some Garcinias in containers outdoors in South Florida. I had some fruit of local Achachairu that was quite nice, and harvested the seeds, but no luck getting them to germinate in the soil.

Does anyone know of any suitable varieties or species that will grow here? Any nurseries with plants? Excalibur told me they have none right now.

Hi booeyschewy,

Before I move out out Florida (Delray Beach) last year, I had these Garcinias in my collection:

Garcinia acuminata
Garcinia brasiliensis
Garcinia gardineriana
Garcinia intermedia
Garcinia macrophylla
Garcinia madruno
Garcinia praniana
Garcinia magnifolia
Garcinia Mexican variety
Garcinia laterifolia - Achachairu

They were all easy to grow, except from Garcinia acuminata. I couldn't find any good source to buy these trees anywhere so they were all grown from seeds. I don't think any of the Garcinia species can handle freezing temperatures very well.
