Does anyone have experience or advice on how to use pH paper to measure the pH of the mix in my container grown trees??

Wow I hear crickets but no words of wisdom..... I guess I will have to call the extension program.

Adding your soil to a container with water and then testing the solution with ph paper should give an approximation? I would guess 1/2 and 1/2? Do you know the ph of your water, maybe test that first?

Words of wisdom, maybe not so much?

RE: use of pH paper

Buy a digital meter and be done with it.

abayomi I have one but was told that they were very unreliable and not to trust it. I bought it at Lowes. It does a moisture as well as a pH reading.
