Well it got down to at least 25 Degrees before i went to sleep. This afternoon all items hanging out of the box's were dead/damaged. Everything inside the box and within the heat range of the lamp looks happy and healthy.

ooooooo...sounds bad newguy.....have any pictures to show us? Maybe that sap ooozing is cuz the lamps too close and it's frying the stem of the mango?

I'd like to see these "boxes" and you say 3 sided - so what's on the 4th and 5th side?

Instead of the more expensive 400W Halogen light, why not get the cheap 99 cents store 100w or 200W hair dryer and save your elec bill too? It will work better with circulating the warm air instead of just hot air up high.

i have a Florigon about 3ft high.
it lost a few leaves when it hit 28F a couple of weeks ago
but it seems fine now.

I had planned on buying a Glen, since i had heard it was better to handle the cold than other Mango
one or 2 people said this i is a myth, and all mango are the same, but, a few articles ive read say Glen is better.

I grow papaya , and learned a couple of tricks i can try
planting close to the house, lots of mulch, other evergreen foliage nearby etc...
My papaya made it through, loosing just a few leaves.

The thing i am worried about,, is, even if the mango tree makes it OK, will it produce fruit, or will the cold weather interupt the fruiting process >?
