I have had the Thai large green skinned white fleshed one....but I don't think I have had the Peruvian. I am not a big guava fan. I did grow the Thai guava for a while. The fruits were decimated by bugs and I eventually gave up. The best guava I have had has been the Indonesian White Seedless guava. Seeds are a big issue for me. I don't mind kiwi, dragonfruit, strawberry and other similarly seeded fruits. Once it gets to raspberry, black berry, guava and some of the other cacti, these seeds become almost a deal breaker for me. They really hinder my enjoyment of the fruit, even if nicely flavored....at least for eating out of hand.

I have a seed solution even though I don't mind a crunchy bite :-)

Stick em in the blender and make juice! Strain out the seeds! My GF and I drink it as fast as I can make it. Also if you ever try the EXCELLENT lemon guava their seeds are few and soft.

Do you have a photo of the Peruvian leaves? A friend gave me this guava tree over a year ago, the leaves are much thinner than any other kind that I've seen. In the winter, all the leaves turn reddish brown, and return to green in the warmer months. I don't know what kind this is, does anyone?

My guava favorite is the white flesh Vietnamese variety, oblong shape, few seeds. I like to eat them crunchy, dipped in some crushed red pepper and salt.
