Need help selecting a Mango!

Well, after looking for a while and pricing it out. I decided to go with a local source for a mango tree in SoCal. The grafted varieties are the following;

Sunset (I know a little about this one after reading a wiki entry, seems like a good mango)

Ewais (Egyptian mango, not sure how the taste compares to others)

Pin San Man (Did some searching and came up with Pim Saen Mum one of the same?)

Did some more research narrowed it down to Pim Saen Mum and Ewais. Leaning toward Ewais, because of the selection made for the Egyptian climate (similar to inland locations to SoCal).

Bought the Ewais mango yesterday. It had some recent dried leaf tips however, I was told it was some mild drought stress recently. Otherwise, the tree looks like its going to push new tender growth soon. The graft is on the high size and the trunk has about 3/4 inch diameter.

Nice pick up! Roger Meyer had that variety locally. What rootshock that he use to graft the Ewais?

Yeah it was from Roger, I believe its grafted on a manila rootstock.
