Yes, I am growing it. It has fruited a couple of years for me. This past year it had a very heavy crop. The fruit is on the small side, but it has fiberless flesh and a nice flavor. Is it in my top tier of all of my mangoes flavor-wise.....no, but with its production and other qualities, I think it is well worth growing. The tree seems to be moderately vigorous in habit. It also has some pretty good disease resistance. As far as season here in Florida....as I recall it has a late/early season maturity. From what I have heard, it is the best of the Egyptian mangoes. We did have an Egyptian poster here for quite a while.....Amr, I think his name was. Haven't seen him on the Forum for a while. I hope he's OK....with all the turmoil over in Egypt these days. I have his e-mail around somewhere. I'll try to drop him a note.
