I had my first 4 mature on my tree late this November.

They were nothing special flavor wise. But at a time when no other mango's are left on my trees, they were certainly much anticipated and appreciated.

I will keep the tree for sure, love it's "off" season.

Thanks for the info sleep! Since I am in zone 9, I was looking for a mango tree that wold produce accordingly to the odd climate here in Houston. Flowering in the summer would be ideal.

Mine's still young - some flowers this year but no fruit. So can't comment - perhaps next year.....

Its a pretty average tasting mango. Can be kind of bland actually.

My tree (given to me by mangomandan) has 3 fruits on it now that are almost ready. I'll probably give them another 2 weeks or so.

It has kind of a bad rep as far as off-season fruiting is concerned, at least in Florida. Seems like most of them bloomed and fruited this off-season though. Its certainly not the only cultivar to do that.....I know NDM trees will do it. I think Jeff posted a pic a little while back of an NDM tree with off-season fruit.

As stated, it is not a consistent off season fruiter. The fruit does not taste any better when harvested in the "normal" mango season (summer time).

Keep in mind with PI and any other nursery's descriptions, it is their marketing tool and as we all know, taste descriptions/likes/dislikes can be and are very subjective.
