You might consider donating it to Habitat for Humanity. They are very expensive and you could get a nice tax deduction for it. Cheryl

I was in a Habitat for Humanity store in Plano a few weeks ago. They had quite a few things for the home and will take about anything in good shape. They even had electrical and plumbing parts, light fixutres, kitchen appliances, doors, windows, knick-knacks, furniture, duct work, and plenty of other goodies for the homebuilder or do it yourselfer. We weren't necessarily looking for anything in particular, but did find a couple nice picture frames for 50 cents each - one was still new - had the original backing inside and sticker on the front. Anyway, a place like that would be glad to take your cooktop parts and you will get a receipt for your taxes. Even if you don't deduct the donation, you'll know it is going to a good cause.
