mardi gras!!!!

Mardi gras will be here in just a few short weeks!

Our barn bash is Friday October 9th at 7:00 pm. Chilis is setting up a fajita, quesadilla bar, Red Bull will again set up their bar, beer and live music are also included in the $15 admission fee. You must be 21! It is a lot of fun, the Krewe members throw beads, you get a close up view of the floats & have a great time!! Bring a chair!

The parade begins at noon on 14th & Seawall & proceeds down Seawall to 59th street.

I am the captain of float #6, there is a gold lion, clown & elephant on the front, the sides have bright orange (Home depot orange to be exact)tigers painted on them.

When we lived in Houston, my husband used to be with the Knights of Momus. I do remember going to the ball which was great.

However, after living out here in the country in Aransas County, crowds drive me crazy!

Tally did you post the wrong month? Did you mean Feburary 9th? Oct is a long ways off. Oct 9th is a Tues that's the day before my birthday. Would you save me some beads though?

Have fun! I only ever went to one Mardi Gras party back in Lousiana with my sister's DH's family. It was really neat.PJ

Oh, the Galveston Mardi Gras is so much fun! You're so lucky to live there and be a part of it!
