You just need to get the same size and color thread and use one of those itty bitty crochet hooks. It isn't any different - just smaller work. It has been a long time since I've done anything with the small thread and wouldn't know how to go about repairing something like that so I hope you are able to figure out how to do it yourself or find someone who can do it for you. Do you know anyone at your church or neighborhood who crochets? They might know someone who could fix this for you or they might be able to do it. Just a thought.

I crochet with thread, and it is the same stitch as with yarn.

I am sure you could do it yourself.

Thanks. I went to a thrift store and bought a couple of old doillies that seem/look to be that same thread. I'll give it a try...some day.:)

I do! And I could use some help trying to find patterns for my first grandchild, who's due 7 April. I find I don't like many of the latests designs, and I refuse to crochet a hoodie for a newborn in the colour "Camo". They're starting awfully damned early with the recruiting!
