I felt the same way...sooooo I finally loaded Firefox. It does work really well. However, I am on aol and don't want to give it up. I had been using the pop up blocker on aol, but it wasn't helping with the animated stuff. I just checked the aol blocker options and there is one that eliminates the animated stuff too, DOH! It's working and I haven't gotten anything since I changed it. I will probably delete Firefox now.

How aggravating! Sometimes, not often but sometimes, if there's something lenghthy I want to post, I'll write it out on my word processor program, then just copy and paste it onto the post box.

I was a paid member when they made the switch to non-pay. I expected the ads to start showing up when my paid membership ran out last October, but I still get no ads. Shhhh, don't tell them! I have a Mac, and use Safari, and have their pop-up blocker turned on. That's it. I don't know why I don't get the ads.

Rick, we'd really miss you if you left us. Your perspective and knowlege is very valuable on this forum.

I am using Firefox, either on PC or the Mac, depnding on where I am, and I still get these animated ads, with blocking turned on.

I really hate these animated ones, because they are SO BLOOMING NOISY, they drive me right up the wall! Have I mentioned how I HATE unwanted sound on the web????

I completely agree, Rick. Luckily, my keyboard has a mute button, but we shouldn't be subjected to those annoying ads, anyway.

I was using firefox too..then all of a sudden I was ready to quit GW too... they were driving me crazy.

You need to an add on to your firefox to stop that nonsense.
