Blue mist

What does a healthy pre-bloom mist flower look like? Googled it and can only find pictures of blooms. Mine is green and spreading but the top inch of every sprout looks dry and crackly. Dark&raining now can't show a pic but it's driving me crazy wondering, what's wrong with it?

Could be water stress, too little then too much, but I don't know for sure, lol

Weird. I think it's drought plant/water stress. My white boneset(white,shrubby and sweet scented similar version of blue mist) is really ticked. The flowers are fading really quick on this shrub too. PJ

It's a plunked plant from last year,moved it about a month ago when it was still brown. Wasn't sure if it was alive. Was excited to see it green up and spread around, now I really dislike the way it looks. Will trimming off the rice krispie parts help it bounce back?

I would, if it is spreading, you aren't going to kill it by trimming it
