Butterflies and Stuff in Bastrop

It will soon be time for the Butterflies, Dragonflies and Summertime Things Festival at Bastrop Gardens on Saturday, July 26. This is one of my favorite events here in the Bastrop area. There are a few vendors, and many naturalists with all sorts of information, as well as guided tours of the gardens.

If youÂve never been, itÂs definitely worth checking out.

I think people the reason people don't respond to posts like this is so it will stay at the top for all to read.

It sounds like a wonderful festival with stuff going on that is right up my alley. Since I wasn't able to go, maybe next year I can, I was hoping you'd give us a report on it. Please do.

Bastrop is a beautiful part of Texas and I'd love to have a good excuse to visit there. Let us know about the festival next year. You might want to put it on the main forum. It seems not a lot of people come to the 'Conversations' page.

Have they ever considered moving it to a cooler time of year? It's hard to tempt people to make a road trip in July heat. I do like Bastrop and used to go up there to the nature center from time to time....some nice parks up there also!
